10 Craft Ideas To Do With Pixar Coloring Pages

Animated studio Pixar boasts some of the best children’s characters ever.

If your child has finished lots of these coloring pages, here are some affordable and easy crafts to make from them.

1. Pixar Tupperware

There’s no need to buy expensive designer cups and plates when your child can make them from Pixar coloring pages.

Buy an ordinary set of plates or mugs for a few dollars from a bargain or thrift store, and let the youngster decorate them with cutouts from the finished pages.

The artwork can be sealed with acrylic spray. For plates that will not be immersed in water, even contact paper will do. You can save this cute Tupperware for years to come.

2. Unique Framed Art

If your youngster has a favorite Pixar animated character, it’s time to get creative and turn it into wall art.

For example, if Merida from “Brave” is a favorite of your child, the page can be decorated with a pipe cleaner and silver puffy paint to embellish her bow and arrow.

Yarn or embroidery thread is perfect for dressing up her hair, and buttons, craft gems, or pieces of confetti can add pizzazz to the leaves in the background.

This type of art can be done with virtually any Pixar coloring page, and the possibilities are endless!

3. Pixar Reunion

This craft is ideal as a classroom activity, but one youngster can do it all alone as well!

Have each child roll up a piece of cardboard to make something resembling an empty paper towel or bathroom tissue roll. The rolls should all be different sizes and widths.

Using characters cut from the finished pages, turn the rolls into tiny dolls.

Use wiggle eyes, pipe cleaners for glasses or bowties, and dots of white puffy paint for funny teeth. Place them in a circle to create a fabulous Pixar character reunion.

4. Make an Origami-Style Ornament

It’s easy to create the illusion of origami without having to do any hard work.

For this craft, have the youngsters choose great Pixar characters, such as Nemo or Monsters INC characters.

When several of the same characters are colored and cut out, make slits across the bottom and top of the cutouts so they can be fit together in a creative way.

The end result will look something like origami, but it’s super easy for any child!

5. Design a Fun Pixar Calendar

If your little fan of Pixar can’t pick a favorite, let the child create a calendar with a different character for each month.

Almost any theme works, such as characters from Toy Story for the month of December, Monsters INC for Halloween, and Finding Dory for a summer month.

This fun craft is limited only by your child’s imagination, and it’s also educational, helping the youngster to learn the months of the year.

6. A Bug Collection That Won’t Crawl Away

If A Bug’s Life is your youngster’s favorite Pixar theme, this craft will be a big hit.

Give the youngster a small, empty jar and brush a light coating of glue on its inner surface.

Have the youngster color and cut out various bugs from the page, gluing them inside the jar facing out.

Add a ribbon at the top and some funny stickers to decorate the lid, and your youngster has a pretty and unique Bug’s Life decoration.

7. Nemo Finds a Home

If your youngster is a Finding Nemo fan, this craft will be loads of fun. Have the child draw a fishbowl on a plain, white piece of poster paper.

Next, using cupcake wrappers cut into one-inch strips, give Nemo some 3D fins.

Use blue tissue paper to create “water” at the bottom of the bowl, and glue on a handful of pumpkin seeds to create the illusion of stones at the bottom of the fishbowl.

Save the artwork in contact paper; just don’t press too hard, and your youngster has an adorable Nemo poster for a bedroom wall.

8. Inside Out Fun in the Classroom

This terrific classroom activity is based on Inside Out characters.

Have each youngster color one or two of these fun characters and cut them out.

Then, using a large sheet of craft paper, have the children work together to create a scene from the movie, adding their cutouts to the appropriate areas at the end.

They will love how this craft turns out, and it can be displayed on the classroom wall!

9. Coco on the Silver Screen

This fun craft is perfect for a Coco fan and begins with drawing an ordinary television freehand on a piece of posterboard.

Next, after finishing Coco, Dante, and Hector in The Land of the Dead coloring page, the three characters should be cut out separately from the background.

The background should then be trimmed in an oval and glued to the “television.” Attach the three character cutouts to a layer of cotton balls and glue them back in place.

It will look as if the scene is on television, and the characters are jumping out!

10. Make a Pixar Collage

If your youngster can’t decide which characters are his or her favorite, why not make a collage?

Take a large piece of poster paper and have the youngster trace and cut out the letters for “Pixar.”

Various characters can be colored and cut from the pages and glued into the letters on the poster collage-style.

The result will be a colorful, decorative poster.
